Back in 2000, I gave up taking lists of resolutions, because no matter how hard I tried, I kept failing. From that point on, my resolutions were, most of the time, mostly points I wanted to improve. Sometimes I gave myself a specific goal, sometimes not.
So for the next year, I have 4 resolutions:
1-Read one book in French every month (or more if possible). I want to make sure I don't completely lose my French.
2-Try to be a little greener. I have a few ideas of waht I could do to help, but no concrete plan.
3-Try to be healthier. That includes eating better (that will be hard to do) and moving more. I have no problem eating well, so exercise will be my main challenge.
4-Be a better mom. I get mad too easily. So I have a feeling that to become a better mom, I will have to learn to make time for myself to decompress, and enforce that on my husband sometimes ;)
But since the last decade was such a great one for me, I will take two resolutions for the next decade:
1-Get a university degree
2-Run in a marathon, even if I only do a 10k.
I hope all of you have a great time this year and an excellent decade ahead.

I'm thinking of running a marathon too. My goal is "before I'm 50," which is coming up in three years. Right now I've got my sights set on a Half Marathon in May. Depending on how that goes, and how my life is panning out with respect to giving me the time to train properly, I might try a marathon in October. Good luck with your resolutions!
Wow!
I was just thinking something simple, like "Floss more".
That is still pretty good, now that I think of it...
Happy New Year!
Rock on!
Girl.. I know you can do anything that you set your mind on.... I hope you full fill everything you wish today!!
And variants are possible still?
